Stat Brain Teaser

My smartphone has a six-digit code to unlock it that contains no zeros and no repeated digits. The fifth digit is one more than the first digit, the second digit is three less than the fifth digit, and the fourth digit is four less than the first digit. The first and third digits add up to the sixth digit. If the sum of all six digits of the code is 24, what is my phone’s unlocking code?

Please email your answers to NISSNews@niss-stat.org. A person will be randomly drawn from the first ten correct answers, and that person will win a $25 gift card from Amazon.com!

Winner of $25 Amazon gift card last quarter: Kevin Hobbs
