COVID-19

We sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during this challenging time and wanted to give you an update on the happenings at NISS.

The NISS Staff is doing well and getting our work done from home. There have been no changes from the State Insurance Departments regarding the due dates for any of the regulatory reports we send on your behalf and therefore no changes to any of the dates data is due to NISS. If you have any questions or if NISS Staff can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to let us know.

We look forward to getting back in the office and getting things back to “normal” when the time is right. We hope you all are doing as well as can be during this difficult time.

Improvements to Naming and Organization of Data Quality Reports

Our top priority is to make the reporting process as simple and painless as possible for our member companies, and this year we have simplified and organized the Data Quality Reports in a way that will be easier to follow.

A number has been added to the beginning of each Data Quality Report to ensure that the reports remain in order of importance for member companies and so NISS Staff can easily refer to them in the letters. The naming conventions have also been updated to provide clarity, and the comma-delimited files and PDF files have been separated into different folders.

All of these improvements will make finding and reviewing data a quicker and more simple process.

Where We’re Going and Where We’ve Been

As you are probably aware, there are many changes going on with conferences and schedules. Both conferences that NISS was planning to attend in May (IDMA and DigIn) have been postponed until later in the year.

As of today, NISS is planning to host a booth at the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA) Annual Conference in St. Louis, Missouri in June, however that will change if the conference is postponed or canceled.

Later this year, NISS plans to attend the InsureTech Connect Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada and the AICP Conference in Washington, DC.

NISS also participates in the NAIC meetings throughout the year.
