NISS is very excited to announce the release of our newly redesigned website which will be launched in the next few days. The site will have a fresh new look and feel along with improved functionality. We listened to input from our member companies and our Technical Advisory Committee to see what enhancements would be most beneficial. Some of the features of the new site include:

  • Easier navigation
  • More efficient and intuitive user interface
  • Cleaner, simplified web pages to easily find what you need
  • Categorized search results
  • Updated technology for optimal viewing on a range of devices
  • Improved help documentation
  • Additional content

Since it is our most utilized resource, we are always looking for ways to improve and enhance our website. We look forward to the release of the updated site and will continue to strive to provide the best resources in the industry for our member companies.

Stat Brain Teaser

You are winning an intense game of ping pong when your last ping pong ball lands on the floor and falls down about one foot deep into a metal pipe imbedded in concrete. The tools you have with you are your ping pong paddle, your shoe laces, and your bottle of water. How can you get it out undamaged?

Please email your answers to NISSNews@niss-stat.org. A person will be randomly drawn from the first ten correct answers, and that person will win a $10 gift card from Amazon.com!

Congratulations to Chad Beehler who won the $10 Amazon Gift Card in the last drawing for answering the Brain Teaser correctly!

The question and answer from the last brain teaser can be found below:

Q: There are three boxes on a table. One of the boxes contains gold and the other two are empty. There is a printed message on each box. One of the messages is true and the other two are lies. The first box says 'The Gold is not here'. The Second box says 'The Gold is not here'. The Third box says 'The Gold is in the Second box'. Which box has the gold?

A: The Gold is in the 1st box. Box 2 is telling the truth, and boxes 1 and 3 are liars.
